West Coast Aerial Arts Festival is a full weekend of aerial community, training, and competition.
Kick off with Opening Night – a welcome social with featured performances, food, and a chance to meet aerialists and instructors from across the country. Our Silent Auction opens at the social and runs all weekend, supporting our scholarship program.
Saturday morning begins with registration/check-in, followed by contestant stage rehearsals (scheduled 10-minute slots). Competition rounds commence in the afternoon and continue all day into Sunday evening.
Workshops are offered all Monday morning. Expect a wide mix of apparatus and training styles—silks (including winch techniques), hoop/lyra, trapeze, hammock, straps, rope, hand balancing, and contortion—taught by experienced coaches and professionals. We offer collaborative rehearsal workshop where aerialists from different studios and backgrounds are grouped with coach-choreographers to create unique pieces. These showpieces are featured at our combined Awards Ceremony and Culminating Showcase later in the evening. Awards Night is free to attend.
